‘Tusome Pia‘
‘Tusome Pia’ is a swahili word meaning, lets learn too.The program will promote inclusive education and support learners with Neurodevelopmental disabilities access education to realise their full potential.This will be done in collaboration with local private and public schools.
Supporting them with setup of inclusive education, capacity building of teachers and care givers. Parents, guardians and caregivers will be champions to ensure sustainability of the program.
‘Ezesha‘
‘Ezesha’ is a swahili word meaning, enable.The program will promote access to early diagnosis and intervention, access to affordable/free therapies for children from poor households. Offer psychosocial support to caregivers to enable them care for their children. There will also be socio and economic empowerment for caregivers and adults of neurodevelopmental disabilities. This will be done in conjuction with therapists, neurologists, special needs teachers and other volunteers at our community care centres.
‘Dada Smiles’
‘Dada smiles’ is a swahili word meaning, sister smile. The program will provide mentorship for girls in the area of sexual health reproductive. Helping them navigate the stage of adolescent. The program promotes STEM education for girls.
‘Vijana Imara‘
“Vijana Imara” means “stable youth” in Swahili. The program is designed to provide
mentorship to young individuals of diverse abilities, with a focus on their social,
spiritual, economic, and psychological welfare. It involves training in digital and
vocational skills to equip them for the job market and advocate for inclusive work
environments.
